Ice Cup: A new team from Washingthon D.C.

In Washington D.C. there is a club called Potomac Curling Club (www.curldc.org), the home of one of the teams coming to Akureyri for Ice Cup. Team members actually represent Virginia, Washington D.C. and Maryland. This is probably a team curling at a similar level as many of the Icelandic teams (no offence meant, neither to them nor the Icelandic teams). Team members have been curling from one up to four years. As a team they have just started curling together and Ice Cup is just their second spiel.

The skip, Jeremy Singer, has most experience of the four. He has been curling for four years. Natasha Prather and her husband Phil have been curling for two years. Phil is second and Natasha is third (vice). Lead stones are played by Rachel Beyerle, a first year curler.

Even though this is a new team they have already made a win – in the third Potomac Chesapeake Meltdown Bonspiel in March.
