Ready and
wating to go to Taarnby!
Two
teams from Akureyri Curling Club will be going to Taarnby in Denmark in november
6 to participat in Taarnby Cup 2003 (november 7-9). This is of course the idea
of Johannes Jensen, our friend in Taarnby Curling Club, in connection with and
after four of our players went to Taarnby last april to play in Oresund Cup and
after Johannes, Kirsten and Finn visited us to play in Gimli Cup last May.

Hopefully we are now on a road to regular connection with curling players in other countries, both by our visits to other countries and by foreign teams coming to Akureyri (more information on Iceland Cup soon).

Vikingar (Iceland 1): Gisli Kristinsson (skip), Birgitta Reinaldsdottir, Bjorn Arason, Jon S. Hansen and Hallgrimur Ingolfsson.
Falkar (Iceland 2): Agust Hilmarsson (skip), Arni Arason, Asgrimur Agustsson, Haraldur Ingolfsson and Julius Arason.
