May 3rd, 2003:
 Team Garpar takes victory at Gimli Cup

One of our teams, Garpar, took victory at Gimli Cup in 1st and 2nd of May. Four teams from Akureyri and one from our friend club in Denmark participated in Gimli Cup. Curling players in Akureyri were very happy to have this Danish team come to Iceland and want to thank Johannes Jensen and his team mates specially for their visit. Hopefully this will lead to further communication between the clubs in the future. c
